Energy Harvesting Systems, LLC (EHS) is involved in the design and development of OTEC systems. EHS was formed by combining the skills and knowledge of Krock Design Associates LLC, and Yee Precast Design Group Ltd.

Dr. Hans Krock, President of Krock Design Associates, LLC has been instrumental in the multi-disciplinary development of OTEC and is globally recognized as a key architect of the resurgence of this technology to address the problems of dependence of fossil fuel and its impact on global warming.

Dr. Alfred A. Yee, President of Yee Precast Design Group Ltd. was an internationally recognized structural engineer specializing in precast, prestressed concrete structures including marine offshore barges and platforms.

Together as Energy Harvesting Systems, LLC, Dr. Hans Krock and Dr. Alfred A. Yee combined to design and develop cutting edge OTEC platforms and systems that can help to address our energy needs.

Dr. Hans Krock is President of Krock Design Associates, LLC, and is the managing Member of Energy Harvesting Systems, LLC, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Krock is also Emeritus Professor of Ocean and Resources Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He received his Bachelor of Science degree (Civil Engineering) from Arizona State University at Tempe and his Master of Science degree (Sanitary Engineering) from the University of California at Berkeley. Following a period in a research position with the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, he returned to the University of California at Berkeley and earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering with minors in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

Dr. Alfred A. Yee was President of Yee Precast Design Group Ltd. in Honolulu, Hawaii and Director of Precast Design Consultants Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree (Civil Engineering) from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and his Master of Engineering degree (Structures) from Yale University. He organized one of the early precast/prestressed concrete mass production facilities in the United States and later developed innovative structural concepts, devices and construction techniques widely used in prestressed/precast concrete construction of high-rise building structures, bridges and concrete marine vessels. He was a visionary pioneer and is missed by those who are still working to bring his dream to fruition.
